“Obama-lama-ding-dong!” OR “Obam

Posted by americandust on January 23, 2007

Okay, I thought I’d chime in on the current wonderboy of the Dem party, Senator Barack Obama.  It amazes me how far a pretty smile and a handsome face will take you.  I’m still leery that Obama is only running to provide cover for Hillary (you can almost hear the Hill camp cheering “we’re moderate compared to Obama!”).  However, for now we’ll assume that he’s a legitimate candidate (as opposed to someone wanting free publicity for his book sales).

Let’s take a look at his experience:

4 years in the Senate (by the time of the election).

7 Years in Illinois State Senate

Lawyer (and former president of the Harvard Law Review).

He’s a lightweight!  Good Lord, John Edwards looks like an accomplished leader next to Obama.  By comparison, lets look at Dan Quayle’s resume before he became Vice President:  4 years in the House of Representatives and 8 years in the Senate!  And to boot, is also a lawyer.

Conclusion:  Barack Obama is significantly less qualified for the presidency than Dan Quayle was when he ran for VP in 1988!  There’s probably 100 people more qualified than him.  I don’t even have to get into his voting record or his drug and alcohol filled past (see Rolling Stone interviews for that).  The good news for Obama is that there is no way the press will treat a Democrat the way they treated Quayle.
